Baikei is considered a pioneer of live art shodo because of his incredibly skillful brush technique. By bringing out the maximum potential of the brush with his skill set and extensive knowledge of calligraphy, only he can make shodo art come alive in such a magnificent way.
As a pioneer in live performance calligraphy, Baikei performs across the globe (USA, France, Italy, Indonesia, Taiwan, China, etc.) to showcase this beautiful Japanese art form.
In 2013 Baikei was invited to one of Japan’s most popular news programs to perform for Lady Gaga, who was so impressed by his mastery of calligraphy she was nearly brought to tears.
Live performance shodo is an unforgettable and one of a kind entertainment experience for various types of events such as company ceremonies, weddings, and more.
Calligraphy has always attracted people from all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds. With Baikei as both her father and calligraphy mentor, MAO has been working alongside him nationally and internationally for several years.
In 2015 she performed alongside fellow Seisho member Seikei while collaborating with Kenny Endo, the world renowned taiko drummer best known for his score in the film Avatar. MAO certainly has a promising future ahead!
Taiga Uehira

Born : June 22nd 1991
Having a renowned calligraphy master as a father, Taiga Uehira started his calligraphy career when he was 2 years old. After earning his calligraphy master qualification at the age of 18, he started his professional career in 2018. With a theme, “Bringing Japanese calligraphy to the world and future”, his work centers around live performances as well as lettering, designing logos, providing his own calligraphy pieces, teaching kids, adults, and also foreigners.
He has performed ceremonial calligraphy offerings at highly prestigious shrines such as Sumiyoshi Shrine and Takakamo Shrine. His recent performance work in the US, Taiwan and Vietnam are also noteworthy. Taiga Uehira is a prominent young calligraphy master has a promising future ahead!
